Company History

DC Caliche is a key supplier of construction aggregate, including spec aggregates for the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) and 247 state base. These durable construction materials are used as a road base, in drainage projects, and in building commercial and residential developments.

Our Background

Owned by Heath and Andrea Reinert and Charlie Bezona, DC Caliche provides aggregate materials from the top of the Texas Panhandle into the Permian Basin, and from Clovis, New Mexico into western Oklahoma.

Operations in a pit
DC Caliche, founded by Heath Reinert, has grown from a small venture into a leading supplier of aggregate materials in the Texas Panhandle and beyond. The company originated from a practical need when Heath, a graduate of West Texas A&M University, sought caliche for a home project. This led him to discover a caliche pit on the Dove Creek Equine Rescue property, giving rise to DC Caliche, named after the ranch.

Initially, DC Caliche served Reinert Hay’s customers, providing caliche to local dairies and feedyards. The company’s reputation quickly spread through word of mouth, enabling it to take on larger projects. In 2021, DC Caliche expanded its services to include custom crushing, mining, and producing TxDOT-specified state base from pits in Dawn and Wildorado, Texas, as well as general caliche base for private roads.

DC Caliche prides itself on its ability to crush up to 2,500 tons of material daily, distinguishing it from other local providers. This capacity, combined with a dedicated team and strategic investments in new equipment, has allowed the company to offer custom crushing services outside the Texas Panhandle.

Located in the heart of the Texas Panhandle, DC Caliche benefits from a diverse client base, serving industries such as wind farms, dairies, feedyards, and state projects. The company employs over 30 professionals who produce aggregate at five quarries and one concrete plant, ensuring a reliable supply of high-quality materials for various construction needs.
